Abstract
405,995. Boxes or cartons for eggs &c. BURGESS, S., 41, St. Vincent Place, Glasgow.- (Benoit, L. ; 2624, West 50th Street, Chicago, U.S.A.) July 16,1932, No. 13432/33. Divided on 404,668. [Class 18.] A box or carton of chip board &c. for eggs and other fragile articles is formed with a V-shaped cushion bottom by constructing it from a single blank shown in Fig. 4 which is erected to the structure shown in Fig. 3. Transverse panels 23 are bent downwards at the transverse dotted lines and the blank folded along the longitudinal dotted lines the outer edges of the blank preferably contacting along the middle of the box and the panels 23 entering slots 29 where shoulders 32, 32<a> interengage, the inner walls 19, 20 being held together by lugs 34, 35. Alternative constructions are shown in Figs. 6, 7, and 8. A lid may be used with the container. Specification 404,668 is referred to.
