Abstract

405,469. Screw propellers in casings. KLUTSCHAREFF, S., 2, Karadjordjeva Ul, Pancevo, Jugo-Slavia. Feb. 27, 1933, No. 5936. Convention date, Feb. 27, 1932. [Classes 4 and 114.] Screw propellers 4 are mounted in an auxiliary tube having the inner surface with sections AA, BB corresponding to the shape of the fluid stream adjacent the propeller and having its outer surface 3 cylindrical. Alternatively the inner surface is cylindrical aft of the narrowest section BB and its exterior surface 3 tapers conically. Twisted vanes 2 are provided in the rear portion 5 of the tube. British Specifications 20537/90, 22080/06, 280,591, 287,061, 288,299, [all in Class 114], and French Specification 407,804 are referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 27133 /06, 27181 /06, and 191,868, [all in Class 114].
