332,089. Knott, R. H. Jarrett-. Aug. 8, 1929. Screw propellers.- An air screw having two blades 3 is provided with an enlarged hollow conical boss 4 having screwthreads 7 or grooves thereon extending from the apex 8 towards the base 5. There may be more than one groove spaced at equal angular distance apart and the grooves may have more than one turn and may be deeper and wider towards the base. The threads may be of the same hand as the blades and lead to the front or back of the blades. Specification 334,037, [Class 4, Aeronautics], is referred to.
