Abstract

404,970. Knitted fabrics. JONES, T. H., Breck Hill Road, Woodthorpe, Notting- hamshire. May 24, 1932, No. 14663. [Class 74 (ii).] A rib fabric wherein each stitch on one face contains two yarns while the other face is composed of single yarn stitchess electively employed is produced by causing all the needles of one set to knit at each feed, selected (e.g. alternate) needles of the other set knitting at one feed, the remainder at the next feed and so on. The dia needles which are not to knit a par ticular yarn at a particular feed may miss that yarn en tirely, so that it extends direct from one plain wale tc the next, as shown in Fig. 13, or may receive the yarr without knocking it over so that it passes round the rib wales without being knitted, as shown in Fig. 14.
