Abstract
486,440. Knitting-machines. GUYLER, A. F., BOALER, W. H.,and FULTON, S. M. Dec. 2, 1936, No. 33065. [Class 74 (ii)] The warp thread guides of a warp knitting- machine are fixed radially and a series of thread-engaging elements separate from the guide means are provided for moving the warp threads radially into engagement with the needles. The thread-engaging elements may be constituted. by sinkers 31. Two series 28 of thread guides may be rotated continuously in opposite direction to produce Milanese fabric. The thread guides may be in the form of an annular plate 41 or 42 having tricks 43, 44 to receive the warp threads 9, 10. Several sets of knitting cams 5 are provided round the knitting circle so that knitting takes place at several points simultaneously. Specification 338,489, [Class 74 (ii)], is referred to.
