Abstract
201,188. Serra, A. Jan. 25, 1922. Knitted fabrics.-A transparent warp fabric, not liable to ladder, is obtained by disposing two sets of threads 1 - - 7 and 2 - - 8 so that each thread forms a series of closed loops, there being two loops on each needle. The loops are knitted rather slack and are pulled tight by the take-up apparatus. The threads used have preferably a left hand twist. Warp machines.-The two sets of threads l<1>, m<1> proceed' from beams l, m to guides J<1>, K<1> which are shogged in opposite direction by Dawson wheels. The various movements of tha guides J<1>, K<1>, sinkers x, needles W, the presser q, and the take-up roller 26 are derived from a cam shaft a the cams on which operate various levers &c. The sinkers x are moved horizontally by counter cams such as f, Fig. 15, with radially adjustable cam blocks 15 which act on levers that are connected together by spring means to compensate for wear &c.
