Convention date, Jan. 18. [Class 141.] A knitted fabric for a stocking comprises a main yarn 38 and a plating yarn 39 knitted together at every course, but not at every wale, and at least one striping thread 40 knitted at certain wales only, not more than one of the yarns being knitted at some or all of the striping wales. Both yarns 38, 39 may be floated at the back of some or all of the striping wales. The striping thread may also float at the back of the striping wales. Specification 300,605, [Class 141, Wearing apparel], is referred to.
