[Class 108 (iii).] A shock-absorber particularly for use on motor vehicles includes a piston e reciprocated in a cylinder c by a lever m and a piston f for supplying air to the cylinder c reciprocated in a cylinder d by a lever p, q operated by the lever m. In one form, the air is supplied to the cylinder c which is provided with a relief valve s through a non-return valve h. In a modification, a link i between the piston e and the lever m, and a link o between the lever p and the piston f, are omitted, a compression spring being interposed under the piston f. The cylinder d may be provided with an air-inlet g, alternatively, an air-inlet fitted with a non-return valve is provided in the piston f.
