Abstract

402,898. Shampooing-apparatus. BERKOVI, L., 5, Dean Street, Soho, London. Aug. 25, 1932, No. 23780. [Class 131.] Apparatus for washing the hair and head comprises a stand 1 having a bracket 4 which supports, on one or two telescopic arms 5 and a vertically adjustable rod 7, a basin 8 which may have a neck support 9. The outlet 11 from the basin passes through an aperture 10 in the stand, or is connected to a fitting thereon embodying a universal joint, and leads to a can 12. The upper end of the stand carries as on a bracket 13, a pair of containers 11, or a centrally divided single container, holding hot and cold water, heating being effected electrically or otherwise. Discharge pipes lead from the containers to a rose 16A and are controlled by cocks 15, 18, or a mixer valve. A container 17 on the stand holds shampooing material and the discharge pipe leading therefrom passes through the hot-water vessel and is controlled by a cock 15. Additional brackets such as 19 to support other appliances may be provided.
