Abstract
402,312. Skew rolling. VEREINIGTE STAHLWERKE AKT.-GES., 69, Breitestrasse, D³sseldorf, Germany. March 27, 1933, No. 9231. Convention date, Feb. 2. [Class 83 (iv).] In a skew rolling mill Figs. 1 and 2, the gears f of each roll are driven by a surrounding internally toothed ring e and by a central gear b<2>. A motor c drives the ring f and motor d drives the gear b<2>. Thus each roll gear is supported by gear drives on each side to negative the thrust. The gears may also be hyperbolic or conical.
