[Class 83 (iv)] Skew - rolling.-In rolling a tube 1 between inside and outside rolls, the inside rolls 4 are stepped as at 9 to give them the configuration of a stepped pointed mandrel, and so prevent the tendency of the tube to slip back as with taper rolls. The steps are joined by a conical zone.
