[Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv).] In making a tube by pushing a billet a on a mandrel through a series of dies and/or rolls, the sized tube a is passed through an oval or other deforming pass in the mill to separate it from the mandrel at h, and is then passed through a circular pass to loosen it from the mandrel at all points, as in Fig. 3. Specifications 25307/01, [Class 83], 157,168, 247,978, [both in Class 83 (iv)], and 393,636 are referred to.
