415,185. Skew-rolling. VEREINIGTE STAHLWERKE AKT.-GES., 67 Breitestrasse, D³sseldorf, Germany. March 27, 1933, No. 9232. Convention date, Feb. 2. [Class 83 (iv).] The rollers 1 of a skew mill are driven by hyperbolic or conical gears 5 mounted at each side in a stationary frame and driven by a central gear 4, the axes of the gears 5 coinciding exactly or approximately with the axes of the corresponding skew rolls. A flexible bearing may support the spindles at the middle. An electric motor 2 drives the gear 4.
