June'20, 1933, No. 17557. Convention date, June 30, 1932. [Class 38 (iii).] In a system where two generators G are connected in series to supply a motor, driving, for example, excavating machinery, and in which differential series windings 15, 21 give each generator a drooping characteristic, the system is stabilized and the load divided proportionately between the generators, particularly when heavily loaded by providing each with an exciting winding 17, 23 responsive to the voltage of the other. The drive is controlled by separately excited field windings 16, 22 in series with a resistance 26 and each dynamo has a compensating winding 14, 20.
