[Class 35] [See also Group XXXVII] Synchronized motors 1, 2, each have, in addition to driving stator and rotor windings 3, 5, synchronizing windings 4, 6, and the synchronizing windings of the several motors are interconnected, the windings of each motor being arranged on common stator and rotor cores, and interference between the driving and synchronizing windings being prevented by winding them for different pole numbers. The driving rotor windings 5 may be short-circuited internally or externally with a starting resistance, which may be common to all motors. A single rotor winding may serve for driving and synchronizing and direct-current or single phase alternating- current may be used. The motors may have direct-current driving windings, with alternating current windings for synchronizing.
