400,744. Securing linoleum and other coverings to metal floor &c. surfaces. ARMSTRONG CORK CO., Lancaster, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Allard, R. M.; 1940, Sherman Street, Evanston, Illinois, U.S.A.) Aug. 9, 1932, No. 22307. Convention date, Oct. 9, 1931. [Class 20 (iv).] Linoleum, cork tiles, and similar coverings 17, are secured to a metal surface by first treating the surface with a corrosion-inhibiting asphalt paint which is allowed to dry, and then securing the covering to the painted surface by a manila gum cement. A joggled metal surface, such as is shown, is first levelled by cementing a cork base 16 by the corrosion inhibiting asphalt paint, the covering 17 being secured to the cork base 16 by the manila-gum cement.
