Abstract

388,158. Floors. TUCKER, H. L., Redcliffe, Urmston, Manchester. Dec. 17, 1931, No. 34945. [Class 20 (iv).] A composition floor comprises a sub-floor of magnesite, magnesium chloride, and fillers, with a proportion up to 50 per cent by weight of fibrous material, and a reinforced surface floor comprising magnesite, magnesium chloride and fillers, the surface flooring being applied to the sub-floor after the latter has set. The fibrous material may consist of coco nut fibre, plasterers' fibre, or wood fibre. Reinforcement is pressed into the sub-floor before it has set, and projects therefrom to be incorporated with the surface flooring.
