Abstract

399,465. Centrifugal fluid-cleaners. SPANGENBERG, J. P., 334A, Strandvej, Klampenborg, Denmark. Jan. 1, 1932, No. 62. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Jan. 4, 1932]. [Class 23.] Suspended particles in gas or fluid flowing through the curved channel a are thrown to the outer wall and pass, with a portion of the fluid, through the passage b to a cyclone separator or filter e where all the particles are retained. The clean fluid passes through the pipe f to the atmosphere, or to the inlet or outlet side of the channel a. A regulating damper d is arranged at the point where the passage b branches from the channel a. At some point in the flow to or from the apparatus e, preferably in the pipe f, is placed a fan or pump g which is used to regulate the velocity of the flow from the channel a to the passage b.
