Abstract

399,427. Feeding sheets. SCHNELLPRESSENFABRIK AKT.-GES. HEIDELBERG, 17, Eppelheimer Strasse, Heidelberg, Baden, Germany. April 25, 1933, No. 12110. Convention date, June 10, 1932. [Class 100 (i).] In a platen printing-machine of the kind in which the sheets are fed automatically to the platen 2 from a pile 6 and are removed automatically from the platen, access to the platen is facilitated by supporting the pile at the front of the machine by a pile table consisting of two parts 4, 5, of which the part 5 can be swung downwards as shown. The part 5 is supported by bolts 9 which are pivoted to spring-pressed bolts 7 which can slide in borings formed in the underside of the part 4 of the table. When the part 5 is raised to a horizontal position the bolts 9 are drawn into the borings and the parts 4, 5 are in position to support the pile.
