Abstract

5573. Marks, E. C. R., [Stokes & Smith Co.]. April 13. Pile tables and supports for sheet feeds.- In a rotary printing press of the kind in which the forme, impression, and take-off cylinders 12, 13, 14 respectively are arranged in horizontal alinement, the pile table and the means for feeding the sheets to the press are carried by a single frame 21 which normally overlies the take-off and impression cylinders, but is pivoted on a shaft 22 so that it can be swung clear of these cylinders to allow free access to them. The frame 21 is preferably operated by a worm 24 engaging a toothed quadrant 23 on the shaft 22.
