706,997. Printing-machines. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG AKT.-GES. June 29, 1951 [June 30, 1950], No. 15529/51. Class 100 (2) In a two-revolution cylinder press, a cylinder lifting device operative in each printing cycle comprises a toggle lever, mechanism 5, 6 connected to the lever 4 of an eccentrically mounted adjustable shaft 2 on which the cylinder 1 rotates, the fixed bearing 8 of the toggle mechanism being arranged on the side wall of the press, vertically beneath the impression cylinder 1 in such manner that the three toggle lever joints lie in a straight line in the printing position. As shown the lever 4 is secured to one of the eccentric ends 3 by which the shaft 2 is journalled in the frame, and the toggle levers 5, 6 are .connected by a link 7 and bell-crank lever 15 to a roller 16 running in the groove of a single-revolution cam disc 17. The stationary bearing 8 of the toggle lever 6 is eccentricallymounted and adjustable by a hand lever 9 to set the printing pressure, indicated by a pointer 10 against a scale 11. The link 7 has a notch 12 releasable from the end 13 of the lever 15 by a handle 20, lever 19 and link 18, e.g. during adjustments of the press for paper feed or other purposes.
