Abstract
1295604 Printing apparatus POLYGRAPH LEIPZIG KOMBINAT FUR POLYGRAPHISCHE MASCHINEN UND AUSRUSTUNGEN VEB 3 May 1971 12707/71 Heading B6C In a rotary, offset printing machine the plate and blanket cylinders are mounted in eccentric bearings 5 and 4 and are interconnected by a linkage to permit displacement of the plate cylinder relative to the blanket cylinder and displacement of both cylinders relative to the impression cylinder 1. The linkage comprises a first piston and cylinder device 13 connected between levers 6 and 7 acting on the bearings 4 and 5 and a second piston and cylinder device 9 connected for the lever 6. Adjustable stops 11, 12, 14 and 15 limit the motion of the levers. The bearings of the inking rollers 25-28 and the damping rollers 32 and 33 are connected to a bracket 17 supported on extension 16 of the eccentric bearings 5 of cylinder 3. The connection is made through hydraulic, pneumatic or electrically displaceable linkages 21 which are pivoted on worm wheels 19. The rollers may be moved in to contact with the cylinder by actuation of the linkages 21 and the contact pressure may be adjusted by rotating wheels 19 with worm screws 18. The attachment of the rollers for bracket 17 ensures that the rollers will maintain contact with cylinder 3 during movement of the cylinder as described above.
