398,879. Boiling-pans. KERN, F. B., 36, Revell Road, and FRENCH, T. E., 12, Revell Road, Coombe Lane, Kingston, Surrey, and ALUMINIUM PLANT & VESSEL CO., Ltd., Point Pleasant, Wandsworth, London. March 23, 1932, No. 8676. [Class 64 (i).] A boiling-pan 1 with an open top is fitted with a heater 2 supported therein by trunnions 3 extending through the sides of the pan and connecting with the inlet and outlet pipes 5, 6 of the heating medium, the pan being so mounted on the trunnions as to tilt independently of the heater. The steam heater is formed as one or more plates or may be annular or consist of a closed vessel with top and bottom tube plates 11, 12 to which are attached open-ended tubes 13 which may be inclined or splay-mouthed. The pan is of aluminium and the bearing surfaces 7 are short. A baffle 14 is provided round the condensate outlet of the heater.
