[Class 70.] A presser belt for vulcanizing-machines consists of an endless-rope belt composed of adjacent wire ropes a, b, Fig. 2, each formed from four strands, as shown in Fig. 3, the ropes having alternately right and left twists, and being connected together by transverse binding wires c. The wires c pass through each rope always at a point where the line of centre of the cross sections of two adjacent strands is horizontal so that no bending of the binding wires occurs. The belt may be provided with a surface levelling material such as a rubber coating.
