Abstract

288,993. Gits, R. J. April 18, 1927, [Convention date]. Belt-3. -A rubber-im. pregnated fabric belt made in one piece has a plurality of longitudinal V-shaped ribs 1 for engaging corresponding, preferably slightly narrower, grooves in the pulleys, the ribs being interconnected by curved flexible and extensible strips 6. Grooves 2 extend down from the outer side of the belt into the ribs. The whole structure is thus so flexible as to permit slight variation in the size and spacing of the pulley grooves. Grooves 8 arranged transversely of the ribs 1 facilitate bending around the pulleys.
