Abstract
398,202. Wireless receiving systems. WESTINGHOUSE BRAKE & SAXBY SIGNAL CO., Ltd., 82, York Road, King's Cross, London.-(Assignees of Place, W. P. ; 442, Rebecca Avenue, Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.) March 8, 1932, No. 6910. Convention date, May 27, 1931. [Class 40 (v).] A detector 1 of the dry surface contact type has an inductance 5 directly across the input terminals and of such value as to render the circuit comprising the rectifier and the inductance non-reactive. The inductance is variable to tune the circuit, or a variable condenser is connected in parallel with the inductance, Fig: 2 (not shown). A high-frequency amplifying valve 2 is used in front of the detector. According to a modification, halfwave detector is used in place of the bridge circuit 1, Fig. 3 (not shown).
