Abstract
398,121. Conical mills. EISEN- & STAHLWERKE OEHLER & CO. AKT.- GES., 44, Industriestrasse, Aarau, Switzerland. March 29, 1933, No. 9475. Convention date, Sept. 21, 1932. [Class 59.] In a mill for reducing bulky objects contained in garbage comprising a cutting member 7 rotating in a conical casing 1 provided with fixed knives 5, the lower portion of the casing is formed with an open periphery for the discharge of the crushed material. The lower portion is provided with diametricallyopposed, inclined knives 9 which co-operate with the knife 7 and with two shorter knives 10, a further three smaller knives 11 being secured on the flange 6a of the hub 6 for co-operation with the lower ends of the knives 9. The flange 6a overlaps the bearing support 4a and prevents materials entering the bearing.
