Abstract
397,475. Batteries. VINCE, C. H., 41, Natal Road, Ilford, Essex. Feb. 22, 1932, No. 5232. [Class 53.] A single-fluid primary cell comprises electrodes of aluminium or an aluminium alloy. and copper or a copper alloy separated by paper, cotton wool, &c. in which the electrolyte is absorbed. The latter may consist of a solution of caustic soda, or granular caustic soda may be packed in with the absorbent material, the caustic soda becoming moist by deliquescence. A pile of plates separated by absorbent layers may be inserted in a container, or the edges of the plates may be sealed in any convenient manner. Specification 391,572 is referred to.
