The cell shown in Fig. 1 consists of a conatiner a of cardboard, celluloid or other impermeable and insulating material containing the carbon electrode and agglomerate d, c and a zinc tube. The pasty or gelatinous electrolyte e is introduced be. tween the electrodes without the application of heat. The container a may be dispensed with, the zinc electrode being closed at the bottom and forming the container.
