Abstract

206,021. Jacobacci, F. Nov. 16, 1922. Electrodes; electrolytes. - A storage battery employing lead peroxide and zinc electrodes is provided with an electrolyte consisting of sulphuric acid containing sulphates of zinc, mercury, and magnesium and potash or soda alum. During the forming of the electrodes organic substances such as purified heavy oils or petroleum are added to the electrolyte. The negative electrode consists of a thin slotted lead plate carrying zinc strips in the slots.
