Abstract
397,055. Endless-rope conveyers. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHœTTE WESTFALIA, L³nen, Westphalia, Germany. March 17, 1933, No. 8086. Convention date, March 17, 1932. [Class 78 (i).] In conveyers of the type in which the material is conveyed. along an inclined trough, the conveyer comprises spaced endless elements in joined lengths and transverse connecting members between said elements adapted to engage the material being conveyed. In one form the conveyer comprises two spaced endless elements which are formed by lengths of wire rope 10, Fig. 4, coupled together by looping their ends through eyes 11 in forks 12. The lengths 10 are connected by. transverse upper and lower members 16a, 16b, Fig. 2, which are grooved to receive the ropes and are held together by bolts or rivets. In another form, Fig. 5, the rope lengths 10 are disposed substantially in S-formation, and their ends are secured by upper and lower clamping members 16a and retaining members 18.
