Abstract

1,081,989. Conveyers. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA. May 26, 1966, No. 23570/66. Heading B8A. A channel length for a scraper chain conveyer comprises a pair of two sigma-shaped side section members 10, 11 between which a channel bottom plate 12 is welded midway between the upper and lower flanges. The two lower flanges 13, 14 are connected by a cruciform member formed by a pair of diagonal struts 15, 16 secured by their ends, as by welding, at or close to the ends of the channel length. The cross-section 17 of the struts 15, 16 has a flat profile and the edges of the struts 15, 16 are bevelled on the top surface. At the junction 18 between the struts 15, 16 they may be connected together or be formed integrally as a single member.
