396,857. Rotary engines. SAUVEUR, H., 1D, Bodekerstrasse, Hanover, Germany. March 24, 1932, No. 8844. Convention date, Feb. 16. Addition to 385,797. [Class 110 (ii).] Fixed-abutment type. -A rotary engine as described in the parent Specification is modified in that the outlet ports are uncovered during a relatively small angle of rotation of the machine, additional outlet ports, which are uncovered during the remainder of an approximate half rotation, being provided to divide the fluid discharge into two portions, one of which is at high pressure and the other consists of spent fluid. Pressure fluid is supplied at an inlet 98 to a casing 100, Figs. 1 and 2, containing a gyratory disc or piston 99 with radial projections engaging in recesses in the casing, the side walls of which fit the piston closely. The inlet zone between the contact points 101, 102 serves as a motor to drive the piston, and part of the working fluid is discharged at the port 111 under a higher pressure, the remainder being exhausted at the port 116. The piston 99 may be guided by two rollers 117 on a common pin 118 against a pin 119 on a ring path 120.
