396,392. Ladders. HAMPTON, E. J., 38, Pleasant Place, Cliftonville, Kent. Feb. 1, 1932, No. 3030. [Class 20 (ii).] A step ladder is adapted for use on stairs by varying the relative lengths of the ladder portion and rear prop by the provision of slots 7 in the sides of the rear portion to engage bolts 6 projecting from the tops of the sides of the front portion. Pivoted stays 10 may be provided on the inner portions of the sides of the rear prop.
