Abstract

236,020. Abbott, S. S. May 27, 1924. Ladders.-A convertible long and step ladder has the front ladder portion A extended beyond the pivot B and the extended portion is provided with multiple treads L against which the rear ladder portion abuts when in raised position. Hooks K are provided on the rear portion to engage the top rung when in extended position and hooks F are provided to act as stays for use in the step-ladder position. The top ends of the sides of the front ladder portion may be shaped to form hand holds D.
