Abstract

395,749. F u e l - injection pumps. SIDNEY, A. A., 36, ChipsteadAvenue, Thornton Heath, Surrey. Jan. 21, 1932, No. 1812. [Class 102 (i).] In a fuel-injection pump, the plunger 11 is provided with an axial bore 14 connecting to a diametral hole 15 which co-operates with one or two triangular ports 3, 4 in the sleeve 1. The distance from the top of the plunger to the nearest edge of the hole 15 is less than the greatest axial length of the triangular port. A collar 17 pinned to the plunger has projections engaging slots 19 in a member 20 formed with teeth 26 engaged by a rack 21 for controlling the delivery of the pump.
