Abstract

395,712. Changing-signs. CHAPMAN, G. W., 82, Elgin Road, Seven Kings, Essex. Jan. 19, 1932, No. 1586. [Class 3 (i).] The walls of tunnels &c. 2 are provided with stationary screens 1 which are illuminated as a vehicle passes them by mirrors carried by the vehicle. Fig. 1 shows light sources 6 mounted on the wall above and below the screens 1, the light therefrom illuminating posters &c. on the screens 1 when reflected thereto by mirrors 5 carried on the passing vehicle 3. The sources 6 may comprise optical projection lanterns throwing images on plain screens 1. In Fig. 2 the beam is shown reflected by a mirror 7 on the walls and a mirror 5 on the vehicle before reaching the screen 1. The posters &c. may be identical, or may give a moving picture effect.
