Abstract

316,685. Martinez, N. H. April 14, 1926. optical-projection apparatus.-The image of an object 3, illuminated by spot lights &c. 4 and located on a platform 1 in front of a black background 2, is optically-projected by a stereoscopic lantern 7 on to a translucent screen 6. The lantern 7 is mounted in an opaque partition 5 and comprises two projecting lens sets 8, 9, two transparent filters 12, 13 having each a colour complementary to that of the other, and two prisms 10, 11. The lantern is arranged to throw two slightly overlapping images on the screen 6, and these, when viewed through similarly coloured filters, are blended into a single stereoscopic image. In a modification the prisms 10, 11 are replaced by a series of mirrors.
