Abstract

394,997. Moulding building-blocks. FLACK, F. C., 11, Swaby Road, Wandsworth Common, London. Dec. 7, 1931, No. 33909. [Class 87 (ii).] Bricks are made of crushed brick or coke breeze and portland cement with or without sand in a mould comprising four sides connected by hinges E<2> at the edges, the final closure being effected by a removable pin F. One side is hinged at H<1> to the base and the opposite side connected detachably thereto by the pin J passing through registering lugs A2, H2. A core K is employed having a handle K<2> which fits in a slot H3 in the base. After moulding, the mould is turned on one side about the hinge H<1>, the pin J is removed and the base folded down. The core is then pulled out by means of the handle K2. After this the pin F is removed and the walls opened out, leaving the block resting on the pallet L ready for removal. Adjustable liners M may be fitted under the pallet to enable blocks of varying thickness to be produced. The table H is vibrated during the moulding-process.
