449,062. Casting metals and non-metals. JUNGERSEN, T. G., 51, Burlington Street, Mimico, Ontario, Canada. Sept. 23, 1935, No. 26300. Convention date, Sept. 27, 1934. [Class 83 (i)] [See also Group V] A model 3 of a required article of jewelry &c. is made in wood, metal, &c. and placed on a block 1 of unvulcanized rubber or other flexible material, moulded to form a parting surface having recesses 2. A top section 4 of rubber &c. is then built thereover and the gate g formed. The whole is then vulcanized, the model removed and wax patterns are cast therein centrifugally and removed without damage. One of these wax patterns is invested in a fluid mass, after dipping in silica or plaster of Paris, the investment is dried and heated to burn out the wax, and the article required is cast therein centrifugally.
