Abstract

394,791. Anti - dazzle devices for vehicle lamps. TALBOT, S. E., 17, Mostyn Road, Merton Park, London. April 29, 1932, No. 12340. [Class 75 (iv).] In an anti-dazzle device for vehicle lamps in which a plurality of concentric rings are mounted in the radiating vanes of a spider element, each ring is built up of a number of arcuate sections 9, each of which subtends the angle between adjacent vanes 6. The sections 9 may be provided at each end with one or more projecting tongues 10 adapted to engage in and be bent over correspondingly positioned slots in the vanes, and each slot may receive the tongues of two adjacent sections. In the lower part of the lamp some of the ring sections may be omitted. The device includes a frame ring 5 and a disc 7 carrying a tube 8, and the parts 5, 6, 7 may be formed separately or integrally.
