[Class 138 (ii).] A stand for a wringer or mangle is located over a washing appliance and is provided with a supporting member for the wringer which can swivel or slide relatively to the stand so as to occupy a convenient position relatively to the washing appliance. In the form shown in Figs. 2 and 3 the bar 15, to the upper face of which is pivoted at 24 a channel bar 21 in which the downwardly projecting pins 20 on the mangle or wringer frame are clamped, is pivotally mounted at 16 to the top of one of the legs of a four-legged rectangular frame F located over a copper or other washing appliance. The bar is held in any angular position in a horizontal plane above the copper &c. by means of a bolt 19 extending between the bar and a spaced parallel member 18 secured to the underside thereof, this member and the bar engaging the opposite faces of a horizontal member 17 connecting two of the legs of the frame. The pins of the wringer frame are clamped between one of the inner vertical faces of the channel bar and a spring 22 actuated by screws 23. The pivotal connection between the channel bar and the bar 15 permits the channel bar and the wringer to be folded down to lie in a plane parallel with the top of the stand so that the stand may then be covered with a table top. The channel bar is held in the vertical position by means of a nut 27 working on a fixed bolt which engages a slotted lug 25 fixed to the channel bar. In Fig. 4 the bar 28 to which the wringer is clamped is slidably mounted on the two side members 29 of the frame and can be locked thereto by bolts 31.
