Abstract
394,558. Liquid-meters. GUEUX, J. J. M., 4, Rue Baudin, Ivry-sur-Seine, France. Oct. 31, 1932, No. 30625. Convention date, Sept. 22. [Class 69 (i).] In a liquid-meter having two measuring chambers, the inlet and outlet valves 14, 24, Fig. 2, of each chamber are operated from a shaft 21, the oscillations of which are effected from a diaphragm 32, Fig. 1, forming one wal of a chamber which communicates with the supply conduit 12 under the control of a valve 33. The valve 33 is closed by its spring 34, and opened by an arm 39 by the fall of a float 36 in the outlet chamber 63. The excess pressure due to the filling of a' chamber moves the diaphragm and causes a tongue 44 to engage one face of a tooth 46 of a disc 47 loose on the shaft 21 and held by engagement of a projection 59 with a stop 60. The tongue then engages and drives a disc 48 fast on the shaft, the stroke being completed by a spring throwover device 51, 54, and the disc 48 acting through screws 49 and slots 50 to turn the disc 47 until its projection 59 engages a stop 601 and the other face of the tooth 46 is presented to the tongue 44.
