Abstract

393,130. Valves. HASLER, D., 133, Heinrichstrasse, Zurich, Switzerland. Aug. 25, 1932, No. 23828. [Class 7 (vi).] A conical rotary valve 6 is formed with diametrical passages 7, 8 for controlling respectively inlet through ports 13, 10 and exhaust through ports 11, 14, provided over each cylinder, and is pressed axially into its seating by a spring 15 arranged between an adjustable ring 1 7 and a thrust ball bearing 16. Air is blown through the hollow space 23 within the valve for cooling purposes. The valve may oscillate instead of rotating continuously. There may be two control valves, one for inlet and the other for exhaust. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 138,919 and 275,557, [both in Class 7 (vi), Internal-combustion engines, Valves &c. for].
