392,268. Frequency changing. ELEKTRIZIT€TS-AKT.-GES. VORM. W. L€HMEYER & CO., 48, Guiolettstrasse, Frankfort-on-Main, Germany. Dec. 24, 1931, No. 35751. Convention date, Dec. 27, 1930. [Class 38 (ii).] A voltage of double-supply frequency is obtained from two phases of a generator G, Fig. 6, by means of a transformer P and rectifiers V1, V2, the output circuit from a transformer U containing inductance and capacity for blocking currents of the supply frequency. An alternative arrangement comprises windings U1, U2, U3, Fig. 15, wound on a common core initially magnetized by the winding U3 which is supplied from a D.C. source through condensers and inductances which ensure no flow of A.C. current into the D.C. source. The winding U1 is supplied from two of the generator phases, and the winding U2 gives the double frequency output. Alternatively, a motor alternator set may be employed. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also an arrangement in which voltage of treble frequency is obtained by means of a star-connected primary feed from the generator, and having an open delta secondary. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
