[Class 144 (ii).] A tyre gaiter, connected to the wheel by chains &c. 8 detachably bolted to a yoke 11 fitted inside the rim, comprises a base portion 1 having integral or detachable webs 4, 5 extending transversely and circumferentially of the wheel. The webs may extend beyond the ends of the base portion, and the transverse web 4 may be inclined to the base to facilitate entry into the ground.
