Abstract

391,326. Gas meters. ARMSTRONG, J. J. V., 12, Church Street, Liverpool.- (Baldersheim, E. ; 9, Christies Gate, and Sundby, F. W. ; 16, Skutevihsvei, both in Bergen, Norway.) May 25, 1932, No. 14816. [Class 54.] The outer valve ports 10, 11 and 101, 11<1> of a dry gas meter communicate directly with the measuring chambers, the metal frames 5, 51 carrying the leather bellows 6, 6<1> being soldered or otherwise attached to vertical bars 7, 71 having bent and cut away upper parts 9 which are secured to the bottom 2 of the valve chamber 3 and to the pipes 13 leading from the exhaust ports 14, 14<1> as shown in Fig. 4. The gas inlet pipe 22 communicates with the valve chamber through an opening 221. The edge of the bellows is bent around a wire 30, Fig. 16, and a gas-tight joint is made between the frame 5 and the bellows by a rolling operation. The frames 5, 5<1> are stamped out of centrally apertured quadrangular metal plates.
