390,836. Sock &c. suspenders. ERFASS, R., 6, Mosebacketorg, and ÍHRSTRÍM, W., 5, Skepparegatan, both in Stockholm, Sweden. Oct. 7, 1931, No. 27866. [Class 44.] In a button and-loop type of sock &c. suspender the free lower end 6 of a flexible tab 5 which co-operates with the wire loop 1 is suitably shaped and stiffened by an applied flat sheet-metal covering, or by treating with celluloid. Alternatively, the material of the flexible tab may have sufficient rigidity to retain the fabric in the loop. The edge of the portion 6 may be plain and rounded, or serrated as in Fig. 6. The tab shown is used with a loop having a narrow upper portion through which the part 6 is passed sideways, and an enlarged eye 3 at its lower end to support the part 6 near its periphery. The loop shown is formed from a single length of wire. The tab may, however, be used with a loop of ordinary form having an enlarged upper portion and narrow lower portion.
