Abstract

390,793. Moulding pulp. XYLOTIN AKT.-GES. THUSIS, Thusis, Graub³nden, Switzerland. July 6, 1931, No. 19484. Convention date, July 5, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 87 (ii).] Plates of large dimensions are moulded from wood fibre pulp by passing a sieve-conveyer b, e.g. of wire-gauze, intermittently through a chamber A having a perforated base a over which the conveyer passes, the chamber being thereby divided into an upper portion to which pulp is delivered by a pipe c, and a lower box d connected to a vacuum source. The conveyer also passes through a drying chamber B. The aperture through which the conveyer enters the chamber A is packed by rubber &c. and flaps f are fitted whereby the exit of the chamber A and the openings in the chamber B may be tightly closed.
