367,196. Centrifugal machines. SAINTJACQUES, E. C., 35, Rue LinnÚ, Paris. March 4, 1931, No. 6749. Convention date, Aug. 21, 1930. Addition to 367,194. [Class 23.] In a separator having a cylindrical part 1, an upper conical part 2 and a hopper 3 below the part 1 as described in the parent Specification, the air to supplement that drawn in through the feed pipe 6, is admitted at the neck of the hopper 3 which is open to the atmosphere. The admission may be varied by using interchangeable supplementary cones 3<1> of different apertures. In a modification only one supplementary cone is used, and it is provided with shutters to vary the admission of air.
